Odd, perhaps that at the turn of the year you would not have found many banking pundits tipping old Standard Chartered. But now, hell, it's a different story. The bank that practically invented emerging markets has been making money for years the old fashioned way. This means money in, money out and do it to as many people as you can without loaning lots of it to rubbish credit risks.
